Mashed Potato Recipe. This is your basic mashed potato recipe. Both the milk and butter can be used to get the desired consistency and taste. If you have a potato ricer there is no need to peel the potatoes.
|salt||1 1/2 tsps||to taste|
|pepper||1 tsp||to taste|
|half & half||1 cup||as needed|
- In a stock pot cover the potatoes with water and bring to a boil.
- Boil for 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
- Drain the water.
- Add a portion of the half and half. Add a portion of the butter. Mash the potatoes. Continue to add until you get the desired consistency.
- Add the salt and pepper to taste.
