Mashed Potato Recipe. This is your basic mashed potato recipe. Both the milk and butter can be used to get the desired consistency and taste. If you have a potato ricer there is no need to peel the potatoes.

Ingredients


potato 2 lbs peeled
butter 1/2 cup
salt 1 1/2 tsps to taste
pepper 1 tsp to taste
half & half 1 cup as needed


Directions

  1. In a stock pot cover the potatoes with water and bring to a boil.
  2. Boil for 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
  3. Drain the water.
  4. Add a portion of the half and half. Add a portion of the butter. Mash the potatoes. Continue to add until you get the desired consistency.
  5. Add the salt and pepper to taste.
