Maple Glazed Carrots
Maple Glazed Carrots. Very easy, very quick, and very tasty. This is an easy side dish that takes no time to prepare.
|unsalted butter||2 Tbsps|
|baby carrots||2 lbs|
|maple syrup||1/2 cup|
|beef broth||1 3/4 cups|
|black pepper||1/4 tsp|
- In a frying pan melt the butter over medium heat. Add the carrots and stir making sure they are coated with the melted butter.
- Add the maple syrup, beef broth, salt, and pepper.
- Increase the heat to high, cover and bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Uncover and continue to stir until the liquid reduces by half and begins to look like a glaze.
The key to this dish is to prepare it in a frying pan. You only want a single layer of carrots covering the pan. If your pan is not large enough to hold the desired quantity of carrots - cook them in batches.
