Chipotle Hummus Recipe. Looking for a little southwestern version of this classic middle-eastern dip? This version gives you a little heat and smokiness.


chick-pea (canned) 1 cup drained
lemon juice 1/4 cup
olive oil 1/4 cup
garlic clove 2 chopped
chipotle chile (canned) 1 seeded & chopped
cumin 1/2 tsp to taste
salt 1/2 tsp
cilantro 1/4 cup chopped


  1. In a food processor combine the chickpeas, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, chipotle chile, cumin, and salt. Pulse until smooth. Add a small quantity of water if it is needed.
  2. Remove to a serving bowl and stir in the cilantro.


A food processor will be needed to make this recipe properly.
