Change to:
Pizza Dough Recipe. A simple recipe that forms the foundation for one of our most beloved dishes.

Ingredients


water 1 cup warm
active dry yeast 2 1/4 tsps
sugar 1 tsp
kosher salt 1 tsp
olive oil 2 Tbsps
all-purpose flour 1 1/2 lbs
Drizzle
olive oil 2 Tbsps


Directions

  1. In a large bowl combine the warm water and active dry yeast. Allow to sit for 10 to 15 minutes until the yeast has dissolved and is bubbling.
  2. Stir in the sugar, kosher salt, and olive oil.
  3. Add a 1/3 of the flour and using a spoon mix well.
  4. Add the remaining flour and continue to mix incorporating all the dry flour on the sides of the bowl.
  5. Place the dough on a flour dusted cutting board and knead the dough for 3 to 5 minutes.
  6. Form a ball.
  7. Place the dough ball in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  8. Cover with plastic wrap and allow the dough to rise for at least 1 hour. It should double in size.
  9. To stop the dough from rising place in the refrigerator until ready for use.

Use a scale to weigh your flour and to make your recipe consistent.
