Egg Drop Soup Recipe. A classic Chinese soup that takes no time to make and gives you that warm all over feeling.


chicken broth 5 cups
ginger 1 2 inch piece - peeled and sliced thin
soy sauce 1 tsp
sherry 2 Tbsps
garlic clove 1 crushed
egg 2 beaten
scallion 2 sliced thin
sesame oil 1 tsp to taste


  1. In a stock pot combine the chicken broth, sliced ginger, soy sauce, sherry, and garlic. Bring to a boil.
  2. Start stirring the soup in a circular motion and add the beaten eggs slowly.
  3. Remove from the heat. Add the scallions and sesame oil.
